Prawn Farmers Federation of India seeks intervention of AP Govt for smooth supply of feed to farmers

Hyderabad: The Prawn Farmers Federation of India on Monday (13th April) has sought the intervention of Andhra Pradesh government to ensure feed supply to shrimp farms in the state.

In a letter addressed to the Minister of Animal husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Government of Andhra Pradesh, the president of the Federation, I P R Mohan Raju said, “We once again request you to intervene in the supply of feed to the farmers from the factories and also the supply of raw materials to the factories.”

As the Government is extending the lockdown for some more time, there is a likelihood of a shortage of feed supply for the farmers and it is found also the raw materials stocked with factories will last up to the end of April, said the letter.
