Kochi: The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Ernakulam of ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI) will conduct a one-day training programme on improved cultivation practices of medicinal and aromatic plants on Thursday (January 23) at Rayamangalam Panchayath Community Hall, Perumbavoor.
Organised in collaboration with the CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP), Bengaluru Station, under the Aroma Mission of CSIR, the training focuses on reviving lemongrass farming in the district. It aims to demonstrate modern lemongrass farming techniques and identify farmer partners for revival efforts. KVK had successfully launched a lemongrass harvesting machine last year, and this training is a continuation of its efforts to revive lemongrass farming in the district.
