New Delhi: The Tamil Nadu cadre IAS officer, Shri Jatindra Nath Swain, has been appointed as the new Secretary, Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying. He was earlier posted as Managing Director, Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd.
Shri Atul Chaturvedi, IAS, Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying was holding additional charge as Secretary, Fisheries.
The Department of Fisheries was formed in May 2019 to give special focus to the fisheries sector in the country.
