Pashottam Rupala has been appointed as the new minister of the Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying. He has been elevated to the cabinet minister rank from his earlier position as Minister of State for Panchayat Raj, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare.
Rupala succeeds Giriraj Singh, who has been given the charge of the Rural Development and Panchyat Raj portfolios.
Soon after the oath, Rupala took to twitter to express his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Saha and BJP president J P Nadda for giving him the opportunity to serve the country as a minister.
